Lack of proper natural resource utilization system: There is a limestone deposit, which is distributed within Mahakanadara Track 01, 02 and 03 GN divisions, and there should be proper technical guidance and other facilities to extract those in a productive manner.
Difficulties for access to the Market: Even though Potter makers in Maradankalla GN division and artisans form, Pothana and Doramandalawa GN Divisions have all the necessary resources for their productions, as they do not have a well-established market to sale those items they had to face various difficulties.
Lack of collective crop collection centre: Dominant economic activity of the Mihinthale division is the Agriculture and produce different types of crops within the year. Most of farmers do not have ability to take their production to the market.
